Ever wonder how DaKa Cozy Creations got its name? Credits go to our amazing rescued furboys: Dapper and Kai!

Both are Catahoula Leopard Curs (though they are not from the same litter) and are completely deaf. They sure are keeping our family on our toes 24/7! They inspire warmth, resilience, and love which is all things I hope to bring into my cozy creations.

Why did I get started on making chunky knit blankets…

What started as a simple hobby… something to help me relax and unwind from life’s daily chaos quickly turned into something much bigger. I never imagined that picking up some yarn and creating these soft, cozy blankets would bring me so much joy. But soon, I realized I wasn’t just making blankets, I was creating comfort, warmth, and a sense of home.

That’s when it clicked… If these blankets made me feel safe and at peace, why not share that feeling with others? Every blanket I make is crafted with love, and my hope is that when you wrap yourself in one, you feel the same warmth and comfort that went into making it.
